Before becoming a REALTOR®, I enjoyed sharing my love of the Island through my career in hospitality and tourism management.  As a long-time resident of the Parksville-Qualicum Beach area since moving from the lower mainland, I have never looked back!


Passionate about helping people, I focus on my client’s needs first and foremost.  Our homes are our most important asset emotionally and financially; I work tirelessly to represent your interests and ensure you have the information you need in a way that is easy to understand in order to make well-informed decisions whether buying or selling. 

Clients think of me as professional, organized, detailed, personable and genuine, as well as responsive to requests, taking the time to listen to you and answer your questions.  With extensive training in sales, marketing, social media, client service, and real estate, that knowledge and my experience can further my goal of making you comfortable with the real estate transaction process.

After a retirement interlude October 2015 to February 2016 with travel and other adventures I am back in the real estate whirl.
 
Meghan Walker, my successor during my retirement period and I will work together with some clients where clients, Meghan and I agree it would be worthwhile and we will have our own respective clients as well. We share this website and will support one another during weekend and vacation time off although weekends won't necessarily be the traditional Saturday and Sunday. For those who are active clients I will let you know which days will be my "weekends" so we can work within your schedule and my own with Meghan available when I am away.
 
A refresher on my business background:
  • 30 years with BMO in various management, senior management and executive positions in Ontario, Alberta and BC managing work groups and clients with personal, commercial and corporate needs in virtually every business segment. Their span included local, provincial, Canada wide and international business interests from small businesses to privately owned and publicly traded companies as well as personal needs.
  • Extensive experience including deal making, negotiating, acquisitions and mergers, corporate financing, mortgage lending and the law that applies to most disciplines. Underpinnings include research, investigation and analysis to help clients make well informed decisions.
  • 12 years as a licensed residential and commercial REALTOR® with transactions of all types in central Vancouver Island from Port McNeill to Ladysmith and by referral to and from REALTORS® in other areas of BC and provinces.
  • As a REALTOR® I have contributed locally and provincially to improving the degree of professionalism of the real estate profession.

Applying knowledge, using communication skills has produced satisfying results for a wide range of real estate clients from Canada and abroad. Contributing to success for clients has been my objective of helping clients make well informed decisions along time lines that suit the client without pressure from me to accelerate and potentially diminish the clear thinking decision making from which clients can benefit.
